Another Mothers Day Card

Its that lovely Teddy For Mum stamp from Lili of The Valley, again! (Go check out the new stamps they are soooo cute!) No New makes from me, this week, I have done a little crafting, but I can't share what I have been doing just yet - So I thought I would show you The Mothers Day card I made for my Mum.

The round Mothers Day sentiment came free with a magazine, so I based my card on that! The bear is coloured using copics but I used Spectrum Noirs to colour the Mum Balloon & flowers. I was keen to try the Spectrum Noirs as I have read so many great reports and seen them on Create & Craft TV, so ordered a set of RED'S, I find reds one of the hardest colour combos to blend so I thought if I can do reds using the spectrum Noirs then I will be able to use the rest of them, well as you can see I did manage to blend them and for the price they are very good, however I found the shape of the pens difficult to hold, and I did not like the nib at all, - Just my humble opinion, but I will be sticking to Copics and Pro-markers.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:

My First Digi Image from KennyK

Last week I purchased my very first Digi Images - from KennyKdownloads.com choosing just a few to buy was really difficult but from the minute I saw him, I knew Handyman would be in my basket.
I have coloured him in using pro-markers and copics and have used DP from K&Co Hopscotch 6x6 and BasicGrey Lime Rickey 6x6 and the sketch is one i have a copy of in my sketch book that was featured on The Sketch 'N' Stash Blog ages ago!

I have been holding out from buying digi images because I love the actual process of inking up a stamp and creating the image, and Also I have a fairly cheap printer made by Kodak (when you have 2 teenagers doing A-levels & GCSE's you use lots of ink, so you need it to be cheap) so, I was a bit worried the ink would smudge however but I was really surprised I printed direct onto Neenah Card stock (which does bleed a bit when using alcohol pens) I used the draft quality setting and left it to dry over night. He was great fun to colour and I am really looking forward to making cards out of the other images i purchased

Markers Used: Soft Peach & Peach, Sunflower & Gold, Cinnamon & Caramel Pro-markers
C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, E000, E00, E11, R20, E34 & E35 Copics

Mothers Day Weekend A Birthday Card & some challenges

Hello Everyone,

Another quiet week in the craft room not many actual cards finished but I have been practising colouring, and have a few images that I am fairly happy with :-) that will hopefully make it onto finished cards one day!

I am trying hard to work through some of the hundreds of 6x6 papers I have and make use of all my old stamps, I am not doing to bad although I have bought a few new stamps, I have only purchased one paper pad since December, however I slipped again this week and purchased my very first Digi stamps, I am really looking forward to playing with them, I haven’t had chance yet as my Son is home from uni for the weekend J so I have had to pack the craft stuff away! I don’t mind it is wonderful having both my children at home. ‘Enough Waffling’!!!

Onto Today’s card, it is another pink and girly one using an older Tilda stamp and a 6x6 papermania pad call Scrumptious. Used a peeloff for the sentiment ( I am going to ‘have’ to invest in some sentiment stamps soon! )

Mums The Word

Sorry pictures are so yukky!
This was originally much bigger but i messed up layers and it had very wonky lines so I cut it down and then i added flowersoft to the purple flowers which i regretted - But i didn't want to waste the card and image, and Mum liked it. I'm putting it on here to remind me not to try to make cards when i have had to take oramorph pain medicine !!!!! Hope you are all well and enjoying your week whatever you are doing, I'm not so great again! and not managing to comment on all the blogs i love, but I'm still visiting you and drooling over all your wonderful creations.

Happy Birthday Mum

Hello Everyone

Here is a card I made for my Mother In-law’s Birthday:

It is A4 white card folded in half and I have used Papermania 8x8 Rose Garden BP, a lovely Mum stamp from Lily Of The Valley, the Daffodils are a bunch of silk flowers from the Poundshop, and I have just cut of the flower heads and tried to make the backs as flat as possible and used a hot glue gun and stick them to the card and added some punched fern leaves. The sentiment was made on the computer and pearls where found in my stash, I followed a sketch that the brilliant Von made for our craft group on YUKU. I have decoupaged the MUM balloons and coloured the image with copics

R81, R83, R85, E33, E35, E50, E51, R20, B91, B93, C0

Daisy - Spring Has Sprung Card

Hello Everyone, Thank you for all your kind comments and messages, I feel a little better, still quite wiped out but slowly getting back on my feet.
I also want to say a HUGE WELCOME and HELLO to my new followers, I can’t tell you what it means to me to read your comments.

Anyway onto today’s card, using one of my favourite stamps (again) Daisy from Funky Kits, made using Back to Basics papers and coloured with Pro-markers, and chalks, I have also made a flower arrangement (my first ever) using Mulberry Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts – some people can make these look wonderful on cards so I bought a few ages ago, and have used the odd one here and there, but never done an arrangement but thought I would give it a go, I think I still prefer my plain and simple cards but maybe will use some of these on special cards that I make boxes for as they make the cards very 3D. (the flowers are more purple then they look). This colour combo makes me think of Purple Crocuses, which I love because once I start seeing them on the grass verge at the side of the roads I know spring is on its way!
